Employing cross cutting strategies to END Female Genital Mutilation!

Part of our advocacy efforts towards ending Female Genital Mutilation and other harmful practices through policy reforms has involved working with key stakeholders, government bodies and of course young people across Africa’s continent. Hence our advocacy dialogue in Buyende district of Uganda.

YouthHubAfrica, in partnership with the AYC Consortium,  UNFPA-UNICEF Joint program to end FGM, Youth Initiative for Youth Action (YIYA) foundation, led an advocacy dialogue with district heads, the Ministry of Health Uganda, Secondary School students and other key stakeholders, in Buyende district.
Amongst other issues discussed, the key conversation was identifying methods and strategies in the elimination of harmful practices affecting children, one of which is through policy and planning… YOUTH HUB AFRICA!
