Led by Stories of Girls Resistance, the global storytelling initiative is dedicated to amplifying the voices of girls and women who bravely resist sexist social norms, patriarchy, white supremacy, oppression, and more in their everyday lives.
As advocates for the power of storytelling and the resilience of girls and young feminists, you are invited to join us in rewriting history and empowering the next generation.
Here’s how you can get involved in four simple steps:
- Share Your Story: From April 8th to 15th, take to your favorite social media platforms and share your tale of resistance. Whether it’s a written post, a video, an image, or an audio recording, your voice holds tremendous power. Use the hashtag #GirlsResist and tag @girlsresistance to ensure your story reaches the masses.
- Nominate Others: Who inspires you? Nominate three friends, family members, or colleagues whose stories you’d love to hear. Encourage them to share their own narratives of resilience and strength.
- Spread the Word: Help us spread the message far and wide! Share our campaign poster about the #GirlsResist movement and tag @girlsresistance on your social media channels. We’ve even provided some sample texts below for your convenience.
- Connect with Us: Stay connected by following us on Instagram and TikTok. Witness the inspiring everyday stories of resistance from girls and young women across the globe.
