Every year on 15 September, the world observes World Lymphoma Awareness Day, a time to raise awareness about lymphoma and ensure that no one affected by the disease has to face their cancer experience alone.
This year, CANSA joined the global call under the theme “Navigating Lymphoma and CLL Together”, highlighting the challenges experienced by people living with lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) and the importance of connecting patients and their families with trusted information, compassionate guidance and practical support.
This message is particularly important in South Africa, where non-Hodgkin lymphoma is among the 10 most frequently diagnosed cancers affecting both men and women.
