Age 6 you start your grade 1.
Age 18 you complete your matric. Just matric certificate. No skills taught during this 12 years of learning.
Age 22/23 you complete your degree or diploma most in theory.
Age 26 you get an internship, with a stipend of less than R5k at most.
Also at this age you starting your own family having a child or two.
This means for 20 years you are subjected to a theory, a meaningless certificates.
Imagine if we have compulsory skills development programmes at high schools where our kids are taught.
That would also help to identify kids’ who are gifted in other area besides reading and writing.
Not this one size fits all and endless theory.
Our Education system needs serious reconstruction.
