The Portfolio Committee on Basic Education will this week visit schools in North West and Free State provinces to assess their readiness for the 2022 academic year. The oversight visit will commence in North West today and on Wednesday the committee will move to Free State.
Details of the programme for tomorrow are as follows:

Time: 08:30 – 11:30, the committee will engage with the North West Provincial Department of Education. Those who will be part of the meeting as part of the provincial department will include the Office of the MEC, Head of Department, national and district officials of the department. The Members of the Portfolio Committee of the North West Provincial Legislature, organised labour and the South African Principals Association.
