Your parents ordinarily want to give the best. You may find them annoying but behind their every action is an expression of love and care.

Remember their responsibilities are a lot bigger than yours. Often, they are the ones who think of the sustainability of the house and of the whole family. This would require them to do good in business or in the office.

If your concern is about school, theirs is on how to keep you good in a school. If you think of earning good grades, they think of how they earn more money for you and for the monthly bills that they need to pay, your tuition fee, included. Not only that. They have their obligations to their own elderly too.

They have their own personal health and sometimes relational and societal concerns as well. Your parents may not be the best. But like any good parents, they are trying to give you what is best. They actually are doing the best they can.

When you feel like they are invading your privacy, they are actually trying to protect you. With their experience, they know better what is safe and what is not. They usually would not like to gamble about your safety, health and happiness. Every good parent wants a good future for his or her own child.

Make life easy for them by being grateful and obedient. Yes, we know it’s part of their duty to serve you. Appreciating them for their efforts is nothing compared to what they do for you. Sometimes we are busy growing up without us noticing that our parents are busy getting older.

Thank them while you still can and make them feel grateful while you still have the chance. In case, you think they were abusive in raising you up, make the best possible peace with them. Forgive them in your heart and move on. Remember you are or you will ba a parent too.

*Your parents gave you what they think is best. The best that we can give them back is to make them feel proud. Remember that we are bound to honor our parents for who they
