Parents and guardians must provide schools with ONE reliable cellphone number which they use on a daily basis so that they can receive important SMSes throughout the application period.

PHASE 2: 15 November – 30 November 2021Parents & guardians must pay close attention to what’s expected of them in each phase.
PHASE 1: learners currently in Grade 7 in public schools, but will be starting Grade 8 in 2022
PHASE 2: learners either starting Grade 1 or Grade 8 in 2022, but are currently not in a public school.
Once parents/guardians have ensured that they have registered ONE reliable cellphone number with schools, an SMS notification with a LINK will be sent to that number prompting parents/guardians to complete the 5 Step Application Process.
The 5 Step Application Process is as follows:
STEP 1: Verification of Parent/Guardian Details
STEP 2: Verification of Home Address Details
STEP 3: Verification of Learner Details
STEP 4: Apply to Max of 5 Schools
STEP 5: Uploading Documents Within 7 Days.
These are the documents required for Grade 1 and 8 applications. Parents & guardians must ensure that these documents are certified & uploaded on the system/submitted at schools within 7 DAYS of applying.
The Placement Criteria for both Phases in order of priority is:
1) Home address within school’s feeder zone
2) Sibling/precious schools
3) Work address within school’s feeder zone
4) Home address within 30km radius
5) Home address beyond 30km radius.
