‘A solution is cultural transformation demand, which is the intentional shift in deeply rooted cultural norms, beliefs and practices that continue to perpetuate gender inequality, discrimination and violence. In many South African communities, traditional norms around gender roles still limit women’s rights, choices and freedoms. Cultural transformation involves challenging and changing these mindsets.’
