The Chairperson of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Community Safety will on Thursday, 14 August 2025, join a visit hosted by StepAhead Productions & Project, a Soweto-based Non-Profit Organisation currently implementing an Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) initiative funded by the National Department of Public Works.
The project focuses on the cleaning and maintenance of public facilities and is part of a broader effort to create job opportunities while improving community spaces.
The Chairperson’s visit to the Moroka Police Station will provide an opportunity to witness first-hand the impact of the project and to engage with EPWP participants currently deployed at the station.
