The much-loved Parkview Charity Christmas Market returns to George Hay Park from 21–23 November 2025, promising a festive weekend filled with cheer, community, and giving. Organised by Nicarela Charity, this year’s market is set to be the most exciting one yet, featuring over 80 craft stalls, 15 food experiences, and a host of entertainment for the entire family.
From the signature champagne and oyster bar to artisanal foods and handmade gifts, visitors will be spoiled for choice as they browse, shop, and celebrate the season. The children’s zone offers far more than jumping castles – little ones can enjoy a silent movie experience on Friday night, interactive play areas, and fun family activities throughout the weekend.
Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, the market will feature live performances by local bands, youth jazz groups, school choirs, and community artists. And for sports fans, the Springbok vs Ireland rugby match will be screened in the beer tent on Saturday, making it a weekend where everyone can find something to enjoy.

For 16 years, Nicarela Charity has been at the heart of community upliftment, distributing nearly R8 million to beneficiaries across Johannesburg — all through volunteer commitment and community support. What began as a small neighbourhood event with 1,000 visitors has grown into a major annual attraction drawing over 6,000 attendees in one weekend.
Daneel Jordaan, Chairman of Nicarela Charity, shares: “The collective effort from everyone involved is truly inspiring. Volunteers, local schools, residents, and businesses have all played a role, and we deeply appreciate their dedication and support. Events like this Market show how powerful community spirit can be.”
Proceeds from the Market support a range of deserving organisations, including Guild Cottage, Bethany House Foundation, The Living Link, REEA Foundation, and MES. Nicarela also funds bursaries for Parktown High School for Girls, extending its reach to youth development and education.
“The Parkview Charity Christmas Market embodies the generosity and warmth that make this community so special,” adds Jordaan. “As we enter the festive season, we’re reminded that every purchase, every donation, and every act of kindness helps us make a tangible difference.”
So, mark your calendars, bring your family and friends, and join the Parkview community for a weekend of shopping, entertainment, and giving back — all in the true spirit of Christmas.
