Heritage Day is also about remembering the communities and struggles that have shaped who we are.
Sing & Paint brings generations together at Constitution Hill to reconnect with the grassroots history of Pride through art, music and storytelling. Presented by FEW, GALA and the UJ Queer Society, the day includes making Pride signs, singing Pride songs and a pop-up Soweto Pride Archive exhibition from GALA.
The following day, 25 September, the Soweto Pride March sets off from KwaLichaba Chesa Nyama in Orlando West.
