To mark this important occasion, CANSA hosted a collaborative awareness event on 16 September at Victoria Mxenge Hospital in Durban, bringing together patients, families, healthcare professionals, and support organisations.
Attendees benefited from an insightful presentation by Dr Venetia Naidoo, who shared valuable information to deepen understanding of lymphoma. Patients and families were also inspired by powerful personal stories shared during the event.
Mr Hlengwa courageously shared his lymphoma journey, offering encouragement and hope to others facing similar challenges. Mrs Toya, speaking on behalf of her family, shared their experience of navigating lymphoma together and delivered a moving message of resilience, strength, and support.
These personal accounts served as an important reminder that while a lymphoma diagnosis can be overwhelming, no one needs to face it alone.
Support Beyond the Diagnosis
