On May 8th, the cidb team, led by CEO Bongani Dladla and supported by CFO Sfiso Nsibande, reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to empowering women in construction — a sector long overdue for inclusive transformation.
In partnership with PMI South Africa, represented by the dynamic Mrs Phumza Dyani, five women-owned construction companies have officially embarked on their training programmes, fully sponsored and ready to lead change. This marks a critical milestone in our journey toward a more diverse, skilled, and representative industry.
We extend a special salute to Mmapula Mohlala Direcotor of Botlokwa ba Mamphele, Luyanda Ngomane Director of Chuma Properties & Construion group, Banteng Mmontong Director of Mmontong Business Enterprise, Leah Ramashala Director of Linky Building and Civil Construction and Wendy Mbanjwa Director of Lungolwakhe Group— The five exceptional women who exemplify leadership, grit, and vision. Your stories inspire and your presence paves the way for many more.
This initiative is not just about training — it’s about rewriting the blueprint of the construction industry to reflect the values of equity, excellence, and empowerment.
Together, we are laying the foundation for a transformed industry — one empowered woman at a time.
