To all those that passed with distinctions – CONGRATULATIONS
To all those that passed with ease – CONGRATULATIONS
BUT MORE SO, CONGRATULATIONS TO THOSE THAT:
Struggled with every paper but refused to give up!
Had to contend with not only loadshedding, but no electricity in general, those that studied with a candle and under a streetlight!
Struggled to understand the questions over the rumbling of their tummies and shaking of their hands.
To those who showed up under-prepared because your responsibilities at home include looking after and even raising your siblings:
Those who missed school and fell behind because they did not have the luxury of a sanitary pad.
Those who showed up on little to no sleep because they had to travel (by bus, taxi or walking) for hours to get to the exam.
All those distinctions plastered over the media are great!
BUT you who overcame all your challenges and still showed up – WELL DONE! YOU ARE SO MUCH MORE THAN YOUR RESULTS!
