Nominations are now officially open for the Africa Energy Forum’s Photo of the Year competition 2024 edition.
We are thrilled to announce that this year’s competition will take place at the full-scale conference and exhibition in Barcelona, Spain, from 25-28 June.
Categories explore using energy resources sustainably, energy in the community and as a visible part of the landscape, connecting and empowering youth.
Submit your entry by Wednesday, 24 April, to Marketing@energynet.co.uk to one or more of the categories below:
Energy in action – Using energy for work, energy in motion, energy in the community.
Energy in landscape – Energy as a visible part of the landscape, including hills, rivers, buildings, trees, and plants.
Energy and youth – Energy connecting and empowering youth, entrepreneurs, early career professionals.
Energy and sustainability – Exploring ways to use energy resources sustainably, reducing carbon footprint, promoting renewable energy sources, increasing energy efficiency.
We are excited to have four category winners, giving you four times the chance to win, so get in!
A live exhibition of winning and shortlisted photos will take place during the event at aef, Fira de Montjuïc, Barcelona.
The winning company[s] or individual[s] will receive an enlarged copy of the winning photo, and it will be displayed and credited in the Africa Energy Yearbook, aef Daily Newspaper, aef Homepage and social media.

How to participate?
Free to enter.
Deadline for entries – Wednesday, 24 April.
Four categories – Submit photo for one, two or all categories.
Select your preferred category[s] and submit a high-resolution, landscape photo to – marketing@energynet.co.uk, detailing its category and providing a short photo description – mandatory!
The photos can be up to 5MB, but at least 2MB, 300 dpi.
We will accept GIF, Jpeg and PNG files, but we do not accept BMP or TIFF files.
