Mondays are not so blue if you know how to kick start your week. One of the best ways is having a wonderful worship service in the morning. Nothing brings glory to our Mondays like worship at Cosmo City Secondary 1.
Every Monday there is a worship service and hundreds of learners sing their hearts in glory. They pray as hard, listen attentively to the designated pastor.
Grade 9 learner Siyanda Zozo was asked why she loved assembly so much, she said: “Well, it’s a golden opportunity that is given to us because we receive life changing messages – these messages inspire us to do better – we are given a chance to catch up on what we missed out on at church”.
The assembly is not only about the worship service, but we also get important announcements and updates for the learners. It is also the perfect moment to award learners that are doing great things and achieving for themselves – a moment of acknowledgement.
Motivational speakers are invited on a regular basis to come and encourage learners to do better.
Learners are reminded that when everyone turns their back on them, God will step in and help, as long as they keep their faith strong.
Learners agree that it is definitely a great way to start a Monday morning!
