CARE school in Sydenham has a teacher position available.
CARE is an autism specific school in Johannesburg catering for learners between the ages of 18 month to 18 years old.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self driven and creative teacher to join our team.
The learners follow a functional academic independent education plan based on CAPs.
The applicant has to work well as part of a transdisciplinary team.
In addition, they should be open to flexible teaching and multi level teaching methods.
Experience in autism is recommended as well as some exposure to the use of autism specific intervention strategies such as Makaton, TEACCH and so forth.
The applicant should be open to assisting with the day to day running of the school as well as their teaching responsibilities.
Salary is negotiable.
Position Starts January 2022
