‘Achieving gender justice in South Africa requires a multi-faceted approach, involving not only legal reforms but also cultural and societal shifts. We must challenge patriarchal norms, provide comprehensive support systems for survivors of gender-based violence, and ensure equal access to opportunities for all genders. There is also a need to create safe spaces for women and girls to thrive without fear of discrimination or violence.’
