The Gauteng Legislature’s (GPL) Portfolio Committee on Sports, Arts, Culture & Recreation (SACR) extends its heartfelt condolences to the family, loved ones, and devoted fans of veteran actor Don Mlangeni Nawa who passed away on Wednesday 16 April 2025.
A caring father, brother and friend to those who knew him, Mlangeni’s talent was hailed not only in South Africa but the rest of the continent and the world.
His illustrious career was a tale of longevity, spanning over 30 years and comprising some legendary and unforgettable roles that earned him recognition.
“We are profoundly saddened by the passing of Don Mlangeni Nawa, who still had so much to contribute to the entertainment industry in Gauteng, South Africa, and indeed, the world.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with their families, friends, and fans during this difficult time,” stated Disebo Tlebere, Chairperson of the SACR Portfolio Committee in the GPL.
