Engaging Young Men in Creating Safer Spaces for Women and Girls!

According to World Health Organisation, one in three women suffer gender-based violence (GBV), or violence against women and girls (VAWG) globally. 35% of women have experienced physical or sexual violence from a partner or a non-partner.Men are key players in  ending Violence against women and girls hence our continuous engagement of young men using diverse creative means to sensitise them on the dangers of harmful social norms and practices perpetrated against women and girls.

YouthHubAfrica with support from UNWomen launched a  footbal tournament in three communities within the FCT and 2 communities in Ebonyi state.
The football tournament was a platform to engage young men and boys from these communities on the key roles they play in tackling violence against Women and Girls, ending harmful practices, challenging stereotypes and creating safer spaces for Women and Girls.
