The Oversight Committee on Premier’s Office and Legislature (OCPOL) will on Friday, 28 February 2025, conduct a Focused Intervention Study to assess the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) compliance and maintenance status of GPG departments.
The study aims to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to enhance OHS compliance and maintenance practices.
Departments to be visited and issues to be covered include:
New building move, recent fire, identified risks
- Department of eGOV:Â 75 Fox Street, Johannesburg
Lack of Emergency Preparedness Plans submission in 23/24FY, burst pipe in 2024
- Department of Health:Â 45 Commissioner Street, Johannesburg
Gaps in fire and emergency preparedness since moving to a new building, issues with fire drills and risk identification
Following the visit, the Committee will convene a Public Stakeholders briefing at the GPL Auditorium.      Â
