Gauteng Legislature’s (GPL) Mens Forum will from today 28-29 July 2022 host a mentorship session with young boys from across the province in an effort to mould and groom them into tomorrow’s responsible men.
Building on work it has done in the past, the GPL’s Men Forum aims to continue affording Gauteng’s young men a platform for discussion and mentorship by older men, as they navigate societal and youth challenges.
This is necessitated by the devastating scourge of violence against women and children, substance abuse as well as other ill acts perpetrated by men in society.
The programme will see boys from different backgrounds receive guidance from Members of the GPL Men’s Forum and instilling in them good values and a sense of responsibility.
The programme will be conducted as an overnight camp, where Members of the Forum will bring in boys for mentorship and motivation as well as participating in various fun activities.
The GPL Men’s Forum Led by Honourable Lesego Makhubela consists of male Members of the Provincial Legislature (MPLs) representing various political parties as well as administrative Staffers.
Details of the mentorship session are as follows:
Date: 28-29 July 2022
Time: 13h00
Venue: Maraneman on the Vaal
