‘The way we talk about sexual violence, gender and gender-based violence is arguably the most accessible way for us to resist it and engender gender equality… The road to gender justice is complex but it exists in our minds as much as it exists outside of them. If we do not begin to think in ways that are rooted in gender equality then we cannot allow our behaviour to follow that orientation, and we cannot create real-world changes… We have much power in our words, and it’s valuable to use it.’
