Lots of people want to start their own small businesses or need help with their small businesses. So how do other people go about doing this?
It’s important to develop an understanding of the skills required in business and to change the mind-sets of residents, particularly the unemployed youth.
It’s important to encourage the youth through examples to aspire and pursue their own paths, to further developing their own skills to earn a living, be better citizens and FUTURE Leaders!
I recently spoke to Vuyolwethu Ndabandaba, Founder at Big Dreamer Media about his personal, professional, and entrepreneurial journey thus far.
Early Life
I was born and raised in ESwatini, a country known for its beautiful mountains and scenery within the South African Development Community (SADC) region in Africa.
I have been privileged and fortunate enough to school at Khanyisile Primary School and at Ka-Zakhali Private School to pursue my high school education at Sifundzani High School and pursue my teaching degree at the University of Eswatini.
My Profession
Teaching according to my perspective is a wonderful skill that allows you to understand people, be it someone young or someone who is matured and or older.
It is a wonderful skill that allows us to influence, and mentor young boys and girls to becoming the best version of themselves. It is not an easy profession as it can require a lot of work and tasks to be done in a short period of time.
However, there’s nothing that brings more satisfaction to know that you have helped a child grow to become whatever they want to become, as long as it is legally accepted.
Critical Resources for Leadership
For each and every leader to grow, values and working smart is essential. The values necessary are:
Boldness– Be brave. However, it doesn’t mean that you won’t get scared or fearful when doing something. Decide to do it and learn along the way despite the fear.
Calmness– Take a step to reason things out and be calm. As you pursue your passion or goal, sometimes things don’t work out the way we intend to or the time we intend them to work out.
What can we expect from you?
Despite being a teacher, I’m also a footballer, football coach and filmmaker.
In the filmmaking space, me and my team are close at showcasing our upcoming film, which will be announced in 2024.
In the footballing space, I’m currently training with a team known as New Silver FC under a zonal league.
Women In Business
Women and girls can start, develop, and run companies. Business is not for just adults, or men only. Women are capable of making business decisions by themselves and in collaboration with men in the workplace or at a company.
The Covid-19 pandemic; Protection in Businesses
My advice, as a youth entrepreneur is to market your company digitally! It’s the age of Artificial Intelligence, people should take advantage of digital marketing and AI to grow their companies in case Covid-19 or any other pandemic hits…
Your Legacy
To impact the next generation for God’s purpose in business.
Business Contribution to Society
For now, we are still in the foundational phase of the company. So, we haven’t made great contributions to society.
Highs and Lows
High– We were able to complete two filming projects within the year of 2023.
Low– Scammed by a filming editor after having worked hard with my team to produce a short film.
When you not at work?
I play football, watch movies and series, and have a good time with friends.
Where can people follow you?
