MEC for Human Settlements and Infrastructure Development Lebogang Maile, will on Friday, 23 February 2024, launch the Kasi4Real housing programme in Soweto.
Kasi4Real (Real Estate Access Lending) is a new product introduced by the Gauteng Partnership Fund to address housing shortage and to formalize backyard developments in townships in Gauteng.
This pioneering programme marks the government’s direct entry into funding potential township developers aimed at creating sustainable, dignified living spaces while addressing the demand for affordable housing.
MEC Maile will be joined the Executive Mayor of City of Johannesburg, Kabelo Gwamanda, the GPF Board of Trustees Chairperson, Mr. Craig Cornish and by the GPF CEO, Lindiwe Kwele.
