MEC for Finance and Economic Development Lebogang Maile will re-table the 2025/26 Budget of the Gauteng Provincial Government to the Legislature on Tuesday, 03 June 2025.
This follows the re-introduction of the National Budget to Parliament by Minister of Finance Enoch Godongwana.
In tabling the Budget, the MEC will outline how the provincial government will use available resources to fund key priorities in this financial year, which include growing the economy, creating job opportunities and improving the delivery of public services to citizens.
LOCK-UP SESSION AND MEC MEDIA BRIEFING
Members of the media will be given early access to Budget documents (budget books, press statement and speech) and interact with the MEC in a Lock-Up Session under a strict embargo.
The embargo on all Budget documents will be lifted when the MEC starts delivering the Speech in the House.
