Date: Thursday, 19th October 2023
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Venue: The Catalyst Hotel, Sandton
The SCOPA Annual Breakaway Session is a significant gathering of key stakeholders and institutions dedicated to ensuring accountability and transparency within the Gauteng governance landscape. The session will feature presentations from: the Office of the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA), the Forensic Unit of the Office of the Premier of Gauteng, the Gauteng Offices of the Public Service Commissioner, and the Public Protector, as well as the Gauteng Provincial Treasury’s Gauteng Audit Service (GAS).
These presentations will provide a comprehensive review of audit outcomes, investigations, and findings for the financial year ending in March 2023; which are vital for the Standing Committee to gain a deeper understanding of the state of financial governance as they exercise accountability over Gauteng Government Departments and their entities.
