They say half-naked girls are hot and girls that dress decently are beautiful. It seems to me we do not know what beauty is!
If you had asked me two years ago what beauty was, I would have told you they meant a girl that looked beautiful, in terms of appearances! I would have said that it was someone who is respectful, humble, down to earth, understanding and not judgemental.
I would have gone further to say it was a girl who knows how to treat herself like a lady, a girl that knows she is beautiful inside and outside. Doesn’t need someone to tell her she is beautiful, she is independent and is somebody that knows her body is the Temple of the Lord.
But if you were to ask me today, I would say we seem to think that beauty is someone who dresses to the latest trends, a girl whom every boy at school is after, a girl who is popular and does not care about other people, a girl whom every girl wants to be like. We seem to be very confused! We seem to follow all the trends we see on television. For me this is very worrying. We seem to be lost as young people and we need direction.
I prefer to be the girl you would have asked me about 2 years ago!!!
