Children have the right to toilet facilities which support their dignity, privacy, security and comfort.
Facilities must be maintained in a condition where privacy is protected. Broken doors must be replaced.
Staff must provide special support to children who are afraid or are vulnerable to bullying in the toilets.
The atmosphere in the toilets should be as pleasant as possible, with adequate light and ventilation.
The experience and opinions of learners should be considered in the design and management of toilets. #WorldToiletDay2023
