Yo School Magazine, is proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with Maseti Luzipho Foundation, a leading non-profit championing the empowerment of learners with disabilities. This collaboration will bring learner-driven storytelling, skills development, and inclusive education to the forefront of South Africa’s school communities.
With a print reach of 4,000 copies and growing, Yo School Magazine is transforming how learners engage with literacy, personal development, and social change. Now, through this new alliance, the magazine will feature stories from intellectually disabled learners who are often excluded from mainstream media narratives.
“This partnership is more than content — it’s about dignity, visibility, and possibility,” says Mzukona Mantshontsho, Director at Yo School Magazine. “We’re not just printing magazines; we’re rewriting the future of inclusion and empowerment in education.”
Maseti Luzipho Foundation has already trained dozens of learners in soap, candle, and detergent manufacturing, helping them build real-life skills that lead to sustainable livelihoods. The Foundation’s vision aligns perfectly with Nyakaza’s mission of uplifting youth voices across the country.
“We see this as a national movement,” adds Lungisa Maseti, Co-Founder of the Foundation. “Together, we can show that every learner has a story worth telling — and skills worth celebrating.”
We Are Calling on Corporate South Africa, Government, and Civil Society:
