As South Africa marks Teen Suicide Prevention Week (8–14 February), SADAG is launching its national campaign, “We Hear You – Silalele.”
The campaign encourages parents, teachers, caregivers, and friends to listen with care, create safe spaces for open conversation, and support teens who may be struggling.
Join us in making a difference – listen, support, and be there for the teens in your life. Together, we can help them feel seen, heard, and less alone.
Teen Suicide Prevention Online Toolkit
Our Online Toolkit is designed to help schools, parents, and communities take part in the campaign and support young people.
The theme this year is “We Are Listening – Silalele.” The toolkit includes a Suicide Safety Plan, resources and materials, online activities, safe Suicide language, guidelines on social media use, videos, messages of hope, and press releases to help raise awareness and encourage open, supportive conversations.
