Young people are not merely the leaders of tomorrow; they are citizens whose voices and choices matter today. Voting is one of the most important ways young people can participate in shaping the future of South Africa.
Decisions made by government directly affect education, access to opportunities, employment, skills development, public safety and the future of our communities. It is therefore essential that learners understand democracy, their constitutional rights and the responsibility that comes with citizenship.
We encourage young people to become informed, register to vote when eligible, participate peacefully in democratic processes and hold elected representatives accountable.
Voting should not be based solely on political affiliation, family influence or promises, but on an understanding of policies, leadership, integrity and the needs of our communities.
The Kingdom Covenant Democratic Party believes that every eligible young person’s voice matters.
We want a South Africa where young people are heard, education is prioritised, opportunities are accessible, and leadership is accountable to the people it serves.
– Our message to young people is simple: Your voice matters, your vote counts, and your future deserves your participation.*
KCDP’s Position on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide
Gender-based violence and femicide are serious violations of human dignity, safety and fundamental rights. No woman, child or person should live in fear of abuse, exploitation, intimidation or violence.
The Kingdom Covenant Democratic Party believes that addressing GBVF requires more than words of condemnation. It calls for effective law enforcement, accountability for perpetrators, accessible support services for survivors, public education, community involvement and the prevention of violence through education and responsible social leadership.
We must strengthen support for survivors, protect children, challenge harmful attitudes that normalise abuse, and ensure that victims are treated with dignity rather than blamed or silenced.
Men and boys must also be actively involved in promoting respect, healthy relationships and non-violent ways of resolving conflict.
Our communities, schools, churches, families and institutions all have a responsibility to help create environments where abuse is reported, survivors receive support, and violence is never excused or concealed.
For KCDP, the dignity and safety of every person must remain a priority. We believe that a safer South Africa begins with respect for human life, accountability, compassion and practical action. Our vision is a South Africa where women and children are safe, survivors are supported, perpetrators are held accountable, and every person can live with dignity and freedom from violence.
