Premier Panyaza Lesufi will hand over 1620 serviced stands on Thursday, 13 March 2025 to deserving beneficiaries, as part of Governments Ikagaleng Rapid Land Release programme.
In his 2025 State of the Province Address, Premier Lesufi described the Ikageleng Rapid Land Release programe as a housing solution for people in the gap market which includes security guards, petrol attendants, clerks and shop tellers.
Premier Lesufi will be accompanied by the MEC for Human Settlements Tasneem Motara, the Executive Mayor of Ekurhuleni Ald. Nkosindiphile Xhakaza and Housing Development Agency CEO Mr. Bheki Khenisa
The Premier, MEC and Mayor will also hand over 178 houses to qualifying and deserving beneficiaries at the Helderwyk Mega Housing project.
