SADAG’s Teen Suicide Prevention School Outreach Programme continues to support learners, educators and parents with practical Mental Health education and Suicide Prevention awareness.
From January to July 2026, the programme completed more than 45 school visits across Gauteng, reaching over 50,480 learners, 840 educators, and almost 2,000 parents and community members through school talks, educator workshops and community events.
These visits give learners practical ways to manage Stress, recognise when they or a friend may need support, and understand where to ask for help. Educators and parents also receive guidance on identifying learners who may be struggling and how to respond.
As matric learners prepare for their preliminary and final exams, many face added pressure and uncertainty.
The Matric Tip Drop LIVE Series builds on the support provided during school visits by bringing together Mental Health professionals, SADAG Representatives and education experts to share practical advice, answer learners’ questions, and discuss topics that matter during exam season.
