All roads lead to Number 43 kwaMagogo, Eswatini where the history was made – where it coincided with the June 16 uprising and students flooding into exile. These are Siamese twins, birthed by the same source – Bantu education. There is no better time to shine the spotlight on these twins, as we celebrate 50 Years since the historic uprising.
We will be led by a distinguished collection of speakers to elevate the importance of Education & Digital Futures. Led by our much-acclaimed MC, Fifi Peters, with a panel, Prof Tshilidzi Marwala and Fr Smangaliso Mkhatshwa.
Meanwhile, Dr Thandi Ngcobo will be our agitator at the Roundtable Breakfast, where she will expose the young to the leadership of aviation in our digital futures. She will open new opportunities to a broadly new profession opportunity to our young.
We are pleased to also announce the celebration through theatre, directed and acted by the iconic Dr Jerry Mofokeng-Makhetha, under the title MAGOGO COURAGE.
The 50 Year Celebration of June 16 not only honours the sacrifices of the youth of 1976, but also reaffirms the legacy of Number 43 Trelawney Park, which stood as a sanctuary for exiled youth and a strategic hub for liberation. Today, it remains a living monument to resilience, sacrifice and the liberation of the entire continent.
For the golfers, we will have great fun on the fairways.
Join us 19-20 June, Eswatini.
